The Wisconsin Education Communications Board (ECB) has created and LZ Lambeau Education guide (pdf) for educators. The Wisconsin Vietnam War Stories site also has more tools for teaching the Vietnam War and Wisconsin Vietnam War Stories.

Education Day Tours

Thanks for your overwhelming response to Education Day at LZ Lambeau. Our student tour schedule is currently full and in order to give all attendees a meaningful experience we cannot accept any additional tours on Friday, NOR CAN WE HOST ANY WALK-IN OR UNGUIDED TOURS.. Please encourage your students and their parents to attend events on Saturday and Sunday.

You are invited to click here for a pdf packet that suggests discussion and activities before attending LZ Lambeau, what to look for (along with rules of conduct for visiting the Moving Wallâ„¢), and discussion questions after your return. We hope this is helpful to you.

Now Available - Vietnam War Travel Trunks

The Wisconsin Veterans Museum now has four Vietnam War travel trunks available for rental.  In the lead-up to LZ Lambeau, these trunks are a great resource to teach students about the war from all sides. The trunks include reproduced artifacts that fourth through twelfth grade students will be able to experience hands-on.  Pieces available in the Vietnam trunks include fatigues, helmets, rations, insignia, tools, rescue equipment, and more.  The suggested activities included in the teacher's manual are based on national curriculum standards, and include reproduction primary sources from the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Archives, music, film, and more.

To reserve a trunk or for further information, contact Jennifer Carlson at 608.264.6068 or Jennifer.carlson@dva.state.wi.us
